Okay, here's what I decided to do. We got another pile of snow, so I know I'm working on borrowed time!
First up, my 40K army:

To follow, some Bloodbowl and Mordheim, then some choice characters here and there.

Settling in for the winter
Looks like nearly enough to keep you busy at home over the winter :)
Don't forget you've got to learn how to cook as well :P

Fromage du Mal and the Bad Cheese Boys
Here's the WIP of my new BB team, Nurgle's Rotters:
[img_assist|nid=1445|title=Bad Cheese|desc=|link=popup|align=none|width=400|height=162]
This includes the standard Nurgle's Rotters and Beastmen, plus the Beast of Nurgle model and a few classic Nurgle Champions for the warriors -- unless I can come up with something better. Might as well paint the Champions anyway.
The coach, Fromage du Mal, and the cheerleader are from the Mordheim Carnival of Chaos warband. Here's my painted versions of them:

Thats All Folks
So -- I'm done with priming. The temperature in my garage has dropped below acceptable for spray primer, and besides, I now have a problem; my last titanium drill bit broke, so I no longer have the means to drill and pin stuff. I'll seriously have to stock up; went through six drill bits during this project. Granted, I pinned a whole bunch of stuff, including those Chaos Havocs which are made from that very hard metal.
So, here's the last of the primed miniatures:
[img_assist|nid=1455|title=Pit Fighters WIP|desc=Mordheim Pit Fighters warband, yes, that's Big Boris' head on the orc-style fighter. I lost the orc helmet. There's also a couple of time travelling zombie hunters. Somehow they fit in with this lot.|link=popup|align=none|width=400|height=130]
[img_assist|nid=1456|title=Hell Hounds etc WIP|desc=The Heresy Miniatures Hell Hounds. I just couldn't resist getting them primed up so I can paint them. Also the Mordheim Pit Fighters Ogre, and a bunch of nurglings for my Carnival of Chaos warband. I'll have to see how many I can field.|link=popup|align=none|width=400|height=92]

You've definitely got the
You've definitely got the long winter nights sorted (all the way to 2010 if you paint as slowly as me :) )
Looking forward to seeing your Nurgle team fully kitted, they're another of the teams I'm thinking of starting; it's the mutations...
And on that topic, how are you going to show the mutations if and when you get them? I was thinking of making the limbs removable to be able to add tentacles/really long legs etc. Always think its a shame to ruin a paint job trying to convert a model at a later date. Maybe just have models to swap in if and when it happens?
I really must get back into painting. I'll wait and see if I get any minis for xmas and then I might have to follow your lead :)

Mutations Issue
In our league one of the lads has got a Chaos team an another a Skaven team. At the moment, we're not representing the mutations - just using the player's numbers references to the team sheet. But the plan is that once I catch up with the painting for (almost) all of the teams, then I'll make some additional mutated models to swap in for the mutated players. One day I hope to do the same for other players, like the Orc Lineman I have with AV10.

How time flies!
Wow. That was three years ago! Well -- I'm psyching myself up to resume painting. I'm digging out my old supplies, assessing the state of my brushes, I still have these primed miniatures, and I'm finishing up my functional office, so it's almost go time!!

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away!
Three years is a long time, isn't it?
18 months ago I was laid off, but got a contract to keep me going. A year ago I got a job in a city about 3 hours away and now I'm really enjoying my job and own a bigger, finer house than I ever thought possible.
I've also got my own hobby room, double length garage and I'll be getting a shed to go with the garden model rail layout I've built in the new garden. Who'd have thought?
I've not done much painting this summer, but hope to be getting back into it soon.
Hope everyone is well :)
