WWI Hobbits

I've been a bit quiet this summer, as it ihas all been rather busy IRL - but that doesn't mean I haven't been painting. Just not photographing!

Last of the Tyranids?

Well, I do have a few more Tyranids to paint, but this completes all of the Horde Papiyon.

Some Lictors

Some Gargoyles

Tyranid Fleet Papiyon

I've been asked a couple of times how I did the carapaces of my Tyranids, so guess it is time for a tutorial.

How you do it is a follows:-

Bloodrayne, Assassins, Dogs and 'Nids

Firstly, found a rather nice figure that painted up nicely as Bloodrayne

a couple of Death Cult girls to complement her

a nice doggy

Tips and Tricks and Stuff.

Just a random collection of Tips and Tricks and other things I've found in my few years of modeling and miniature painting.

Scaly, Terminators and an Inquisitor.

I retook some of the last set of photos I uploaded, since I wasn't happy with how they looked.

Since I've painted a few more figures since then, some new stuff uploaded as well.

Snake Plissken - Welcome to the Human Race.

Hasslefree call him Cobra - I choose to call him Snake ;)

VSF Aeronef from Scrap

Following a conversation with my sister over a dead night light, there was a bit of general disbelief in my family that that surely I couldn't think of something gaming to make out of any old rubbish, and being the mildly competitive type I have just finished my VSF British Scout Aeronef.

Not nearly as good as a lot of the other excellent Aeronefs you can find on other parts of the internet, I'm pretty pleased with her, nevertheless.

Painting Again, and a Mixed Bag at That

Been a while since I painted anything, then just the other night I saw something in a movie that inspired me to paint a zombie. And after that there was a sort of domino effect with me finishing of various other figures. Couple of these were virgin paint jobs while others were figure that had lost a bit of momentum.

First, a spyglass zombie

and a Heresy Ghoul

a servo skull

a servitor (thanks Dave!)
