My final bunch of Eldar Aspects. (Unless I have some Dire Avengers I did not know about!)

Been having a few health problems recently so this unit of ratskins took me a leisurely week, on and off. Not bad considering there were eighteen of them. I wanted to avoid them looking too much like Red Indians so used pale flesh colours to represent dwellers of the deep undercity. Skin was done with WGF Expert shades F,E and D. Tattoos were done with WGF Tomb Blue B and Cote d'arms Black green. Rat tails and edges of hide were done with WGF Oriental Flesh B and C.

One piece of advice I would give to miniature painters is to investigate a variety of paint brands. Independent shops are good for this since they usually stock a number of brands.
For basic colours such as black, white etc it is only prudent to buy them from the company that offers the best value. MP paints are my usual first choice for these. Their paints come in pots that are at least twice the volume of GW and for half the price. It is perfectly good paint so you would be a fool to pay effectively four times the price for something no better.

The other day I popped into my favourite hobby shop for a chat. I noticed Mongoose had released their version of the Dark Judges. “Wish I had not seen that” I reflected “I have three of the original Citadel Dark Judges. No chance of me finding the fourth for a price I can afford!”
But reminded of this, I had a look on ebay and lo and behold, there was Judge Mortis, £7 starting bid and no bidders, two days to run. I got him, no contest!
I had painted my Judge Death figure years back. It was time to give him some company!

I've never tried battery powered paint stirrers. Some of my older paints are way more solid than liquid! Someone suggested one of these. An Ikea coffee frother (300.000.41). Cost me less than £3 on ebay.
