I've had a pretty fun week. Work has been hectic, but I've found some time to paint.
I'm still working on the Funarbii Knight, and I resumed work on the Trollkin Adventurer from Iron Kingdoms. I'm also working on a couple of the Hasslefree Demon Kids, so the Heresy Hag will be paired off with the Hasslefree Witch Kid, and the original Heresy Fallen One will be placed with the Demon Kid.

This is a clandestine workbench! I'm hiding this post 'til after a few painting challenges are done...
Here's whats up on the workbench this week:

Well, not exactly, but I did go to the painting club meeting at The Source today. It wasn't very popular; there was no reminder sent, so I guess folks forgot. I made a tiny bit of progress there. Here's this week's workbench:

Front row center, we see the incredible resin Heresy Thrud statue; the latest for my Thrud collection. I spent most of today's paint club priming this piece; next time, I'm just spray priming these resin pieces. What a pain.

Well, I finally have a new painting table and found my camera! I have a couple of new pictures up in the gallery:

"Wilf" is the result of a conversation with my friend Ed on Fantasy Giants. I felt that most examples were far too lanky and that more attention to biophysics might result in something that was more interesting in appearance and possibly more credible.

Okay, I know its been a while. It has been quite a month! And with a handful of miniatures banished to the stripping jar, here's whats up for this week:

First up, "Beastmaster" from Dark Sword. A really cool sculpt, strangely in its realism, but I thought he's a cool barbarian type, so I'm giving it a try. I'm kind of stuck on the metals, leathers, and furs.

The week of May 6, 2007 will be lots of fun painting-wise. Yeah, I'm a big over-extended, but my stripping jar is standing by for the anticipated disasters.

This week's workbench is a bit mild, except for a couple of challenge paint jobs (not seen here...)
Here we see whats up for next week. First, the Mercenary Wizard is still steadily painting himself, looking pretty good! Next up, I found a great old Citidel barbarian to play my character Ched in a D&D campaign. While I was back in the barbarian mindset, Ghonad the Heresy halfling barbarian screamed out for paint. Also, that old Citidel Norse Shaman is still on the bench. For now.

Yes, the Paladin pics are coming!!! Just waiting for the base to dry... In other news, there's two more challenges in progress here.
I'm still working on the Hireling Wizard. Or, he's continuing to paint himself...
I haven't finished that bearskin berserker or the norse shaman, just got a few touches here and there on them.
This week's fun challenges are the Heresy Dwarf Inventor and Hasslefree Amoy. I've had this dwarf assembled and primed for quite a while, so I'm looking forward to painting him finally.
