Only one photo added today, although I hope you enjoy it.
I'm a big fan of Fritz Leiber's Fafhrd and the Grey Mouser books and recently brought myself a set to read again. Of course it was not long before I began to think about these in miniature form. I did suggest that they might make a nice addition to the Spyglass range but sadly this didn't ring Steve's bell. As a bonus, however, Balgin of the Forum of Doom did post an image of a Reaper figure that he suggested would make a good Fafhrd. Turns out Reaper also had several potential candidates for the Grey Mouser too. So I placed an order and a pair of figures arrived on friday evening. By saturday evening, while others wasted their time with Eurovision I was placing the last licks of paint to this duo.

Both figures have undergone some conversion. Fafhrd's Swords most commonly had pomegranate-shaped pommels so I added one to this sword, which involved sawing of the arm and then reattaching it. In the books Fafhrd sometimes fights with an axe in his left hand so I added one in place of the dagger it originally had. The "Mouser" figure came with a rather crude looking knife so I removed this and gave him the Mouser's weapon of choice, a rapier.
I'm fairly happy with how these have come out. Fafhrd could be taller, Mouser smaller and I'd make the swords longer and the axe smaller, but they are pretty close to how I always imagined the characters.

Literature comes to life!
I love the concept of being inspired by literary characters! I'm on the hunt for figures to represent Princess Cecile crew from the David Webber "Daniel Leary" series.
Had you considered Ulli and Marquand for your Fafhrd and Mouser?

Ulli and Marquand
Don't know them I'm afraid. Searching on one gives me art collections, the other turns up porn!
To be honest "Fafnir" was so good as a Fafhrd I didn't search much further. While the photography on the Reaper site leaves much to be desired their search engine is very good and it wasn't hard to find a cloaked Thief figure

Ulli and Marquand
Ulli and Marquand are Mordheim-based comic book characters who appeared in White Dwarf and Inferno magazine:

There was a LE Diorama made for them:

And the miniatures were available for quite a while. Not sure if they're still in production (with all the changes lately).

Ulli etc
The link David posted was good. I think they are more unlike Fafhrd and the Mouser than they are like them. The two figures I've painted are very close, a few quibbles aside
