Smallest Armies I've Ever Painted

This afternoon, for the Sheffield Irregulars' monthly competition themed 'Duel', I painted The World's Smallest Wargame, which was the free entry miniature for the Newark Irregulars' Partizan 2007 show.

Irregular Magazine Issue 3 - Winter '10

Irregular Magazine 3 / Winter '10 has just been released on the newly resdesigned Irregular Magazine website! :)

MIniature-Heroes Painting, Photo, and Industry Awards

I'm having a painting contest over on the Miniature-Heroes forum, and since there are many great painters who have galleries of their work on Cheddarmongers, I thought I'd post here and let you know too.

Its called Paint a Classic and in keeping with my site its limited this year to a pre slotta citadel miniature.

The photo competition is a bit of fun for those who don't wish, or don't have the time to paint.

Also I'm sponsering 3 Industry Awards. Best Miniature Company 2009, Best Miniature Sculptor 2009 and Best Miniature of 2009.

Taxonomy upgrade extras:

BattleMech Lance

I don't know if I've mentioned before my old standing love of BattleTech. For about fifteen years I've been wanting to paint up a light, recon lance of Inner Sphere Mechs - and a few weeks ago I saw the notice on the WaMP forum about a painting competition for Iron Wind Metals - who are the current manufacturer of miniatures for the BattleTech game! :) So I thought I had to take part! And I just wanted to show of the result, as I'm pretty pleased with it :)

Nurgle Champion

Death for the Death God - no, wait, that doesn't work, does it? Anyway ...

WWI Hobbits

I've been a bit quiet this summer, as it ihas all been rather busy IRL - but that doesn't mean I haven't been painting. Just not photographing!

Snake Plissken - Welcome to the Human Race.

Hasslefree call him Cobra - I choose to call him Snake ;)

Weathering Competition Entry

This is my entry to the Sheffield Irregulars monthly competition. The challenge this month was weathering, so I pulled a random blister out of the lead mountain - in this case a Shard something-or-other (I forget what) from the Vor game, now long defunct.

DOD 2008
